The numerous production shutdowns in the automotive industry as well as the interruptions in global logistics chains are also reflected in weaker demand for Hella's automotive lighting and electronics solutions. In addition to the existing cost control program, the company has therefore decided on an extensive package of measures to further save personnel and material costs. In addition, short-time work is being prepared at production sites. “At Hella Handel in Austria, operations are continuing undisturbed for the time being,” says marketing manager Erik Diwald. Half of the total of 20 employees work from home, the others ensure that the workshops receive their urgently needed spare parts. “As long as the workshops are open, demand is reasonably stable,” says Diwald.
