Günther Kerle re-elected
Günther Kerle was once again unanimously elected chairman and spokesman for the Austrian automobile importers. This is Kerle's third term in office; before that he was the long-standing managing director of Mazda Austria. Gregor Strassl, CEO of Wolfgang Denzel Auto AG, and Wolfgang Wurm, Managing Director of Porsche Austria, were re-elected as deputies. Franz Weinberger, MAN Truck & Bus, was unanimously confirmed as spokesman for the Austrian commercial vehicle importers. Christian Pesau continues to manage the business of the automobile importers working group.
In an initial reaction, Kerle said: "The transformation towards even more ecological and automated drives as well as the associated political measures in the area of climate protection represent the greatest challenges to date for the automotive industry and retail. We want to ensure that motorized individual mobility remains affordable in the future and can be planned for consumers, especially in the post-Corona period. I am convinced that we can provide important impetus to strengthen the business location in the coming years and at the same time with innovative solutions such as practical solutions that strengthen sustainability.”
