Changing tires is part of the routine for drivers in Austria. The conversion rate is one of the highest in Europe. The tire is therefore the topic of conversation among drivers at least twice a year. “In addition to the tire trade, a popular place to go for changing tires and other services is the car dealership where your vehicle was purchased,” emphasizes Wolfgang Stummer, Managing Director of Goodyear Austria. Honda dealerships appreciate this now more than ever. “The tire business is a very good customer loyalty tool for us,” explains Ivonne Moser, Department Manager Customer and Parts Division Honda Central Europe. This allows end customers to stay in the car dealership and be convinced of the competence and quality of the Honda dealer's service even years after purchasing the car. According to Moser, part of the successful tire business is the tire marketing tool Tire Engine. “The program allows us to provide our dealers with tire information and price or condition changes at the push of a button,” says Moser. The dealer also has the advantage of being able to access availability, prices, conditions, tire labels and tire tests for all tire brands on offer. He can store his tire/wheel calculation including installation costs and quickly create an individual offer for the customer and then order the tires straight away in the portal.”
The Tire Engine covers the retailer’s entire information needs, from customer advice to ordering from suppliers. "The operation is self-explanatory and efficient. In just a few minutes, the program calculates the end customer prices differentiated and in line with the market across the entire product range of all manufacturers," explains Thomas Landl, Sales Manager Car Dealer, Goodyear Austria.
