Change of CEO at Toyota Austria

At the beginning of the new year, Holger Nelsbach will take over the management of Toyota Austria GmbH. He follows Heiko Twellmann (55), who is scheduled to move to Toyota's European headquarters on January 1, 2021. As founding managing director and president of Toyota Austria GmbH, Twellmann restructured and reorganized the Toyota brand in Austria. His three-year term included the restructuring of the importer and the dealer network and the return to sustainable volume growth. "With a committed team, we have brought Toyota back into the growth zone in Austria. Together with a newly established and strong dealer network, Toyota has grown significantly in this country since the takeover," says Heiko Twellmann. He is taking on a strategic task at Toyota Motor Europe for the future direction of European Toyota trading.

Holger Nelsbach has worked as a sales expert for Toyota in Germany in various functions since 2004. In recent years he has been overall responsible for the Lexus brand in Germany. Previous positions included sales management for Lexus, regional management of Toyota sales in southern Germany and various functions at Toyota Bank. Nelsbach on taking office: "I'm looking forward to coming to Austria. Toyota and Lexus have great potential in Austria and that's why we will continue to expand our presence in this challenging market. Our clear goal is to continue the growth of the last few years."
