This is necessary due to the proximity to safety-relevant repair and service activities and because of numerous fictitious business registrations in recent years. “The regulation is particularly necessary because life and limb in the motor vehicle trade can depend on the quality of products, services and advice,” says Ernst. “In recent years, we have observed that more and more so-called ‘mobile phone dealers’ are flocking to the car trade, who have no qualifications whatsoever for car trading.”
