Garanta: THE industry insurer is celebrating its 30th anniversary
Three decades ago, the idea of creating professional insurance for the Austrian motor vehicle industry was born in the WKO. An insurance policy designed to address the problems and concerns of the auto trade and repair industry. A suitable insurance partner was quickly found in Garanta, which initially acted as an industry broker for the Austrian motor vehicle industry. Today, Garanta, with its insurance solutions and services, is an indispensable part of the Austrian motor vehicle industry. In September the insurer will celebrate its 30th anniversary in Austria.
The managing directors Kurt Molterer, Erwin Mollnhuber and Hans-Günther Löckinger are pleased with the successful development of Garanta in Austria: "Over the last three decades, we have managed to continuously advance our growth path - be it in new business, in the insurance portfolio or in the number of our car dealership partners and registration offices. In addition to the commitment of our employees and partners, the main reason for this was our insurance solutions and services, which we developed together with the automotive industry." For this purpose, there is a separate committee, the Garanta Advisory Board, which, chaired by Josef Puntinger and with 19 members from the automotive industry, ensures that the interests of car dealerships and workshops are taken into account in the tariffs and processes of the industry insurer Garanta.
One result of this collaboration is the partial accident comprehensive insurance tariff, which is a supplement to the classic partial vehicle comprehensive insurance. Furthermore, Garanta refrains from participating in electronic wreck exchanges, carries out total loss repairs up to 100% of the replacement value, accepts original spare parts and only works with independent, sworn experts from the region when assessing damage. There are also product advantages such as five additional super bonus levels or the trust bonus, where customers under the age of 24 receive a rating up to three levels better in the bonus/malus system compared to the official association level.
Kurt Molterer sees the future in the motor vehicle industry as positive: "Of course there will be changes in the industry, but customers' desire for a contact person for mobility questions will remain. And who is better suited for this than the advisor in the car dealership. As THE industry insurer, we will continue to do everything in the future to provide the best possible support for motor vehicle companies with our products and services."
