The AUTOHAUS LENZ in Oelde-Stromberg is one of the larger car dealers in Germany. To wash and care for new and used cars and customer vehicles, CEO Frank Lenz needs a car wash with excellent washing and care results.

Our equipment requirements for a new portal system were primarily based on our high washing throughput. “We also wanted clean vehicles with better drying at higher speeds,” says Frank Lenz, summarizing the main expectations of a car wash system manufacturer. Lenz obtained a lot of information, also asked gas station operators and compared various portal system models before finally deciding on the manufacturer Christ.

The decision was followed by discussions about details with the specialist advisor responsible for the region. The Memminger Waschfabrik then received the order to equip the new “Vario Speed” gantry car wash with fast, powerful, reliable and low-maintenance technology. The equipment result: It provides up to a quarter more washing, care and drying power than other system models, thanks to the 16 bar high-pressure prewash. Five oscillating nozzles for each side of the vehicle and new foam showers installed on both sides are included, as is the 140-degree swiveling Turbo DRY roof fan with Opti-Air function. The XL wheel washing device cleans wheels up to 21 inches, the Sensomix+ gentle washing material with textile content and a roof roller splash guard complete the high-quality and powerful technical ensemble. After the first few weeks, Lenz attests that the “Vario Speed” has a high process speed in addition to surprisingly good washing and care performance.

WASH CHEMISTRY FROM CHRIST CAR CARE
Otto Christ AG produced and installed a portal system for the Lenz car dealership for the first time. Frank Lenz carried out the manufacturer change with all the rigor. That's why the vehicle was washed from the first overflow of the "Vario Speed" with washing chemicals from Christ Car Care. "We wanted to get everything from a single source and thus ensure that the coordination between the machine and the chemicals was right from the start. With this in mind, we also signed a service contract with Christ. An application technician comes regularly and checks whether the settings on the dosing pumps and the wash water quality are correct."
