Frey brings MG back to Austria

The MG brand has been part of SAIC Motor, the largest manufacturer of cars, motorcycles and auto parts in China, since 2007. Together with Frey, the big player from Shanghai is pushing forward its electromobility offensive. After Norway and the Netherlands, Austria is the third European country in which SAIC Motor is represented. The first machine guns have already arrived at the Frey location in the Vienna Arsenal, ensuring full delivery capability right from the start. Aiden He, President of SAIC Motor Europe: “We are pleased to resurrect the legendary MG brand with the ZS EV as a fully electric SUV with state-of-the-art technology.” Frank Meijer, Sales and Marketing Manager at MG Motor Europe, adds: “We have chosen the innovative Frey e-Motion GmbH as a sales partner to continue the MG growth on the European mainland together with us.” Anja Frey-Winkelbauer, CEO of Frey Holding: "With Toyota and Lexus, we have been relying on hybrids for decades. Expanding our portfolio to include electric cars was therefore a logical step for us."
