Ford provides a total of eight Ford Rangers as towing and show vehicles for Harley Davidson events. Six Ford Ranger Stormtrak, a special edition double cab, powered by the 213 hp 2.0 liter EcoBlue bi-turbo diesel engine with 10-speed automatic transmission and 500 Nm torque known from the Ranger Raptor, will be used as towing vehicles. Furthermore, a Ford Ranger Raptor and a Ranger Wolftrak with an extra cabin, 2.0l Ecoblue 125 kW (170 hp) and 6-speed manual transmission, in Conquer gray and eye-catching Harley-Davidson branding, will be used as show vehicles at events. The joint presence will kick off with the Harley-Davidson tour from May 6, 2022, which will lead through Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
“With the Harley-Davidson Sportster and the Ford Mustang families, we offer the most consistent and legendary products in the automotive sector,” says Kolja Rebstock, Vice President EMEA and Managing Director Harley-Davidson Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Ford Rangers will make another appearance at the Hamburg Harley Days from June 24th to 26th and the Swiss Harley Days in Lugano from July 1st to 3rd, before another event highlight follows with the European Bike Week, from September 6th to 11th at Lake Faak in Austria. "Our brands simply fit together perfectly. Both stand for freedom and adventure and highly emotional iconic products," says Christian Weingärtner, Managing Director for Ford Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Like Ford, Harley-Davidson is also positioning itself for an electrified and digital future. “Let’s just take the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the fully electric Harley-Davidson sub-brand LiveWire, or the new adventure bike Pan America and our Ford Ranger – the overlap in topics and territories is enormous,” says Weingärtner. Following the introduction of the all-electric Mustang Mach-E in 2021, the Mustang Mach-E GT and the E-Transits this year, Ford plans to introduce seven more electric vehicles in Europe by 2024 - three passenger cars and four commercial vehicles.
