Vehicle warranties as purchase drivers

According to thepulsestudy shows 61% of both new and used car buyers are interested in a follow-up warranty or a used car warranty. The actual number of deals, however, is significantly lower: only 41% of people interested in used cars and only 28% of people interested in new cars also take out a guarantee when they buy their vehicle. Depending on the segment, the dealer misses out on up to 33% of warranty deals. One of the reasons for this is simply the lack of an active guarantee offer. This is where retailers who want to close the gap between interested parties and actual transactions can start: an active, professional and reliable guarantee offer would be noticed by numerous customers.

Greater willingness to purchase thanks to guarantees

This can pay off twice for retailers: Not only can they conclude additional business through guarantees, offering a guarantee also significantly increases the willingness to buy. As the study shows, the willingness to buy used cars increases from 38% without the offer of a warranty to up to 63%. For new cars it still rises from 39% to 50%. At the same time, the customer's loyalty to the brand and the car dealership increases: According to thepulsestudy, the willingness to recommend the dealer increases significantly after a warranty offer, as does the tendency to have the vehicle serviced and repaired in the dealer's workshop.
