Exide complements the range of recuperative EFB batteries

The battery has a capacity of 100Ah and a cold start output of 900A. The box type of the battery corresponds to the L05 construction kit with dimensions (L353mm, W175mm, H190mm). The EL1000 battery is not only an essential addition to the EFB range, but also completes it. This means that the EFB product range achieves a market coverage of 99 percent. Like all DIN types in the EFB series, the EL1000 is also equipped with the latest generationCarbon Boost 2.0technology equipped.

Thanks to the Carbon Boost 2.0 technology, which is in the newEFB batteries(Enhanced Flooded Batteries) from Exide are used, according to the manufacturer, an exceptionally high dynamic charging acceptance is achieved. Compared to previous EFB batteries, 75 percent more energy is recovered in the same time. This means that the expanded EFB battery range can make much better use of regenerative braking energy and thus contribute to achieving the new vehicle emissions targets.

The new EFB batteries from Exide, which are used in vehicles with a regenerative braking system, can absorb a higher charging current in the braking phase, which only lasts a few seconds, thanks to Carbon Boost 2.0. This means the battery remains in a higher state of charge. This ensures that the start-stop system is not disabled by the battery management system. This saves fuel in the long term and at the same time reduces CO2-Emissions reduced.

Exide is the only manufacturer to provide its customers with a recuperation-capable EFB range, which also represents an economical alternative with improved performance compared to standard wet batteries in many applications.

The EFB battery range ensures the aftermarket customer the latest in energy efficiency. Drivers can also benefit from lower operating costs thanks to fuel savings and less frequent battery changes. The complete range of Exide EFB batteries with Carbon Boost 2.0 is already available from specialist retailers.
