With the Medallion for Excellence award for automotive technology apprentice Klaus Lehmerhofer from BMW Auer in Krems/Lower Austria and the placement in the upper midfield of Simon Winder from the bodywork academy in Alberschwende, both contributed to the success of the Austrian team.  Friedrich Nagl, Federal Guild Master of Vehicle Technology:
