One million CUPRA: More than just a number
Just seven years after the brand was founded, CUPRA is celebrating the production of its millionth vehicle. The anniversary car, a CUPRA Formentor e-HYBRID, was manufactured at the main factory in Martorell - and symbolizes the brand's rise to one of the fastest growing automobile brands in Europe.
“The milestone of one million CUPRA vehicles produced is evidence of the bold vision and passion that drives our brand,” says Markus Haupt, CEO of CUPRA. As the best-selling model, the Formentor is emblematic of the brand's recipe for success: sporty design, technological innovation and electrified performance.
To celebrate the success, CUPRA is giving away a Formentor e-HYBRID for three years to all employees. The anniversary vehicle itself will later become part of the historical collection.
At the same time, CUPRA is pushing ahead with the transformation of the Martorell plant: from 2026, the fully electric CUPRA Raval and the Volkswagen ID will also be rolling out there. Polo off the assembly line. CUPRA is thus sending a strong signal for the future of electromobility – and for the claim to be a global, independent brand “made in Barcelona”.
