Vehicle is not found using registration server query
Querying the vehicle data from the registration server as part of the §57a check has been required by the bmvit since the V8 interface was put into operation in October 2018.
If a vehicle with Austrian registration cannot be found after entering the correct data (license plate and first registration date or VIN and first registration date or VIN and first registration date and license plate), please contact the Automotive Hotline. In this case, a copy of the registration certificate is absolutely necessary. The Automotive Hotline staff will help you resolve the problem.
Registration certificate cannot be created, vehicle is not found in the registration database
According to decree BMVIT-185.520/0004-IV/ST5/2019 dated April 11, 2019:
The vehicle data in accordance with Section 57a Paragraph 4 of reports submitted to the ZBD are checked against the data in the registration records. If vehicles were deregistered a long time ago and are therefore no longer stored in the registration records, no reports (registration reports) can be created for these vehicles. To solve this problem, VVO and ZBD developed the following procedure. It is important to follow the steps listed below, as this is the only way to create complete documentation and prevent the entry of incorrect data.
1. The assessment office contacts the hotline of the assessment program manufacturer.
2. The hotline requests a copy of the approval document (type certificate, individual approval notice, CoC or data extract) and the first approval date from the assessment office.
3. This data is sent by email to the ZBD exclusively from the assessment program hotline. Inquiries from assessment bodies, approval bodies or private individuals cannot be processed by the ZBD Support Team.
4. The ZBD will report back a corresponding ticket number for follow-up.
5. The ZBD arranges for a vehicle data record to be created with the data required to create a registration report.
6. After checking by the ZBD, the hotline of the assessment program manufacturer is informed, quoting the relevant ticket number, and the registration report can be created.
DANGER: Corrections or changes to the vehicle identification number (VIN), if they are incorrectly recorded in the registration records, can only be carried out by the state government offices or registration offices!
Report for import vehicle
Open the registration certificate and select the country of origin of the vehicle under “Country”.
