E-mobility: Cooperation between Raiffeisen-Leasing and ÖAMTC

E-cars are experiencing an upswing. Accordingly, further development and innovations in this area are progressing. Keeping employees in the sales and technical departments up to date with the latest technology is therefore a real challenge. Raiffeisen-Leasing Fleet Management (RL-FPM) has a wealth of experience and data from the management of over two generations of e-vehicles (e.g. about the durability and wear of parts and components or about the local and international used car market for e-vehicles), but the practical training opportunities on the e-vehicle components in the right depth have so far been a challenge. Against this background, RL-FPM and ÖAMTC are starting a cooperation to exchange experiences.

The ÖAMTC offers tailor-made further training on e-cars tailored to the needs of individual areas. “With the newly concluded cooperation, our employees benefit from the concentrated know-how of the ÖAMTC and the practical training opportunities in the Erdberg mobility center,” says Renato Eggner, Managing Director of RL-FPM. The Raiffeisen Leasing technicians can thus offer their customers even more well-founded telephone assistance with vehicle problems - using the latest technical developments.

As a mobility club, the ÖAMTC began building up expertise in e-mobility at an early stage. "Our breakdown drivers and base technicians are constantly trained in how to handle electric vehicles. We've even recently had a mobile power charger, a 'petrol canister' for electric cars, so to speak. We have to do that
E-vehicles that break down with an empty battery are no longer towed away, but instead allow you to continue driving to the next charging station," explains Ernst Kloboucnik, ÖAMTC country director for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. "We also have nine eKompetenz locations in Austria and a large number of charging stations for our members. We are constantly expanding this infrastructure." But the mobility club doesn't just use its know-how for itself - for example, training for emergency organizations such as the fire department is also carried out by the ÖAMTC professionals.
