At CES 2018 from 7.01. until 12.01. In 2018, Magna will present its etelligentDrive drive systems and its e1 concept vehicle, which is equipped with three highly integrated eDrives - one on the front axle and one with two electric motors on the rear axle.

With this innovative approach, the demo vehicle achieves outstanding longitudinal and lateral dynamics as well as excellent vehicle stability for greater safety. Each eDrive works with a 140 kilowatt motor, resulting in a total peak output of 420 kilowatts.

The eMotors are combined with a single-stage reduction gearbox and an inverter to create an extremely compact package. “We expect that in the coming years there will be a variety of different variants of propulsion architectures on the market that aim to reduce CO2 emissions in different ways,” says Swamy Kotagiri, Chief Technology Officer of Magna.
