The sustainable wallbox
Keba, a manufacturer of charging stations, presented its latest products and services at the “Power2Drive” trade fair.

The sustainable wallbox
With the “Green Edition”, Keba showed its first CO2-neutral wallbox, which is the result of an intensive examination of the topic of sustainability. With production in the heart of Europe and the use of predominantly European components, Keba ensures short transport routes and minimizes the carbon footprint of its wallboxes according to the 'cradle-to-customer plus waste' principle. To compensate for unavoidable emissions, investments are made in certified climate protection projects. The entire product portfolio is to be converted by the end of the year, and the entire Keba eMobility business area should be climate neutral by the end of 2025.
With the KeContact M20 controller, depending on the model, up to 40 or up to 200 charging points can be integrated into an intelligent and dynamic load management system. The charging management controller is securely installed in the control or network cabinet and controls the distribution of the available electrical energy to the respective charging stations. In combination with the easy-to-use and safe charging stations from Keba, large charging parks can be easily implemented with the new charging management controller. During product development, particular attention was paid to corporate or rental fleets, as well as “charging at destinations” in hotels, shopping centers or comparable destinations. Keba also presented a variety of new services, including an exchange service in the D-A-CH region. If a defect occurs in a wallbox, a Keba service partner will replace it with a model of equal or higher quality within 4 working days.
