Change is taking shape
In our diary of change, we keep our finger on the pulse of where the automotive industry is developing. This time it's about a lubricant manufacturer that is preparing itself for the future.

Change is taking shape
The lubricant manufacturer Total is known to many French brand dealers and racing fans. Whether in Formula 1, in the World Rally Championship or among the wild two-wheel professionals, Total and Elf lubricants are synonymous with race victories and championship successes everywhere. The Total Group is more than just a lubricant supplier, but also a broad-based energy provider.
New name, new business
The Total Group has renamed itself and now operates under the name TotalEnergies. In addition to the name, the logo has also changed. It is more colorful, more dynamic, younger. There is a strategic transformation behind this. "Energy is life. We all need it and it is a source of progress. To contribute to the sustainable development of the planet in the face of the climate challenge, today we are moving together towards new energies. Energy is reinventing itself and this energy journey is ours. Our goal is to be a world-class player in the energy transition. That is why Total is transforming and becoming TotalEnergies," explains Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TotalEnergies.
The transition has already begun in Austria. Work has been underway to develop a network of electric charging stations for several months.
TotalEnergies has brought its own employee on board for this purpose: Michael Talker. He takes care if companies want to convert or adapt their charging infrastructure for the oncoming electrified mobility. TotalEnergies basically offers oil, natural gas, electricity, hydrogen, biomass, wind and solar energy. More on www.totalenergies.at
