With the new workflow in the EBV, a replacement sticker can be created and printed more easily and time-saving than ever before - a service that is part of everyday life in §57a workshops.
The quick way to get a replacement sticker
Martin Schmidt and Alexander Kaiser run the traditional independent multi-brand workshop “Schubertgarage” in Vienna-Alsergrund. As EBV users, you have a practical tool for issuing replacement stickers. “With the new workflow, this is now much easier and faster than before,” says Martin Schmidt approvingly. Replacement badges need to be issued if a customer has damaged their badge while scraping ice, for example, or if the windscreen is damaged after a rockfall needs to be replaced. “On the EBV site I can retrieve all vehicle data from the registration database with a click of the mouse and incorporate it into the document,” explains automotive technician Schmidt. Previously, all data had to be typed out - a time-consuming and error-prone procedure that is now fortunately a thing of the past.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1. On the EBV homepage, click on “Create replacement sticker” in the “Appraisal” tile.
2. Enter the following data in the window that appears:
▶ old badge or
▶ Date of first registration and license plate or
▶ First registration date and VIN (vehicle identification number)
3. Fill in the empty fields in the “Vehicle/registration owner” tab by clicking on “Registration database” and add any necessary additions.
4. Then click on the “Replacement badge” tab, select the desired badge and then click on the “Print” button.
5. You can use the link displayed to print the confirmation for issuing a replacement sticker.
