A jury made up of 24 European specialist journalists has just awarded the most coveted award for light commercial vehicles in Europe.

And the winner is: The third generation of the French delivery van Renault Kangoo Van. The stylish transporter won alongside the new Mercedes-Benz Citan as the best model among 14 light commercial vehicles that came onto the market in the last twelve months. “The award makes our teams proud because it rewards their commitment to the development and manufacture of our van, which uses unique innovations to make our customers’ everyday lives easier,” said Mark Sutcliffe, Senior Vice President, LCV Business Unit, Group Renault.
Innovation is the key
The completely newly developed Kangoo Van is equipped with the intelligent “Easy Inside Rack” interior gallery, which makes loading and unloading easier than ever before. It also offers a wide range of modern driver assistance systems, car-like comfort and modern on-board infotainment. A selection of economical petrol and diesel engines is available for the drive; the battery-electric version Kangoo E-Tech 100% Electric will follow in spring 2022, the long version at a later date. Renault has been producing the Kangoo family in Maubiege, France, since 1997. The site, which specializes in light commercial vehicles, also produces the sister models of the Nissan and Mercedes-Benz brands as well as the electric version. A total of 4.3 million units of the Kangoo family have rolled off the assembly line since production began.
