The calm during the lockdown has gone - thank God, from an economic perspective, that's all we can say. However, the battle between cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers is raging again on Austria's roads. AutoScout24 conducted a survey to find out how they really think about each other.

However, the battle between cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers is raging again on Austria's roads. AutoScout24 conducted a survey to find out how they really think about each other. One group performs particularly poorly.

These are the biggest traffic offenders

The situation is paradoxical in itself: most road users would like others to be more considerate. At the same time, hardly anywhere is there more swearing and swearing than in traffic. Cyclists performed particularly poorly in the current survey of 500 road users commissioned by AutoScout24. Of all people, they, who own the supposedly most harmless vehicle that doesn't harm anyone and also protects the environment, are by far the biggest traffic offenders in the opinion of almost a third of Austrians (29 percent).

However, the discipline of cyclists seems to have already improved, as last year 43 percent of those surveyed considered cyclists to be the biggest traffic offenders on the road. Incidentally, older respondents over 50 are particularly critical of cyclists.

Mopeds and pedestrians are the most well-behaved

Second place among traffic offenders is occupied by truck drivers with 21 percent and car drivers - 17 percent of those surveyed view car drivers with a particularly critical eye. Then the e-scooters follow with 10 percent. Meanwhile, only 9 percent consider motorcyclists to be among the 'worst sinners' on Austria's roads. Austrians look at moped drivers and pedestrians without any negative feelings. Only three percent view moperl drivers and pedestrians critically.
