In the mobility technology category, the jury was impressed by a towing device for use in underground car parks, which was developed at the HTBLuVA Salzburg in close cooperation with the ÖAMTC. The project team, consisting of Felix Niederreiter, Wolfgang Ortler and Florian Meister, developed an innovative system specifically for low room heights, narrow curve radii and steep ramps. The students created a 3D CAD model, all manufacturing and assembly drawings, as well as a cost estimate and built a prototype. They prepared operating instructions for the ÖAMTC and completed the preparatory work for CE marking, including risk analysis.
