Borg supplies colored brake calipers
The Danish remanufacturer Borg Automotive is expanding its DRI brand brake caliper range with colored versions for particularly popular VW-Audi Group models.

Borg supplies colored brake calipers
Colored painted brake calipers are an eye-catcher. Red brake calipers in particular are associated by many drivers with motorsport and top performance. As one of the first remanufacturers in Europe, Borg Automotive has now developed this
adopted the topic and brings colored powder-coated brake calipers from the DRI brand onto the market. The new range is initially launching with eight part numbers, including red, green and blue versions.
The fast-moving items in the range are the red DRI brake calipers 4174920 and 4274920. They are the optimal choice for around 140 variants of the VW Polo, Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza small car series. The brake calipers 4152320 and 4252320, which are also red, are at home in the compact class and fit perfectly into various applications for the mid-range models VW Golf, VW Jetta and Seat Leon. The list of new brake calipers is completed by part numbers 4182220 and 4282220 (green) and 4157220 and 4257220 (blue).
As with all remanufactured products from Borg Automotive, this also applies to the new additions: optimal fit and function are guaranteed, because for remanufacturing the manufacturer only uses used OE parts, which it returns to new condition in a complex, six-stage process. BORG Automotive used several test series to determine colors that were identical to the original, especially for its colored brake calipers, and used salt spray tests to ensure the highest level of corrosion resistance before production started. The compatibility with brake fluid was also tested. The results are impressive: the colored powder coating effectively protects the aluminum of the brake calipers from corrosion.
