Bilstein silences golf
The Golf VII and its “relatives” in the VW Group sometimes produce annoying chassis noises. High-performance B6 shock absorbers from Bilstein provide a solution.

Bilstein silences golf
Golf VII (5G1*), Skoda Octavia III (5E*), SEAT Leon III (5F*) and other MQB models from the VW Group with identical axle construction are often noticeable due to noises from the chassis. This is repeatedly reported to Bilstein Technical Support from everyday workshop life, even if the company is not the OE supplier in this case.
Specifically, it is a rumbling, rattling and knocking that can be located in the rear gas pressure shock absorbers. This is technically harmless, but some drivers find it annoying. Bilstein offers a solution with more damping force that even optimizes driving behavior.
Effective solution from the aftermarket
Vehicles built before the end of 2015 are particularly affected by the noise. But the phenomenon mentioned can also occur with later models. In any case, the prerequisite for this to occur is a passive chassis, i.e. without electronic damping force adjustment. An effective solution is to replace the stock rear shock absorbers with aftermarket Bilstein B6. It stands for an improved standard replacement and offers more damping power. Lowering is not necessary for this. If this is desired, the Bilstein B8 could also be another alternative as an upgrade.
