Exide Technologies has launched the first battery testing app to make it easier for repair shops to test and replace batteries. It allows repair shops to analyze battery test results and offer their customers battery replacement options – reportedly within five minutes. Problems requiring battery replacement can be discovered in more than 20 percent of batteries tested, opening up a valuable new revenue stream for repair shops and helping drivers avoid unexpected failures. The Exide EBTP app is said to be the first of its kind on the market. The app is designed to work with the Exide EBT965P battery tester and output findings directly to the smartphone in up to 13 languages.
