BASF: Surprisingly good business
Many body shops are preparing for the post-corona crisis by replenishing their warehouses with paint products and accessories. The BASF Group's coatings division is also benefiting from increased demand.

BASF: Surprisingly good business
Norbert Grimmeisen, sales manager of BASF Coatings Services for Austria and Central Europe, actually expected a sharper drop in sales in view of the corona crisis. “I am surprised that many orders from our customers are still arriving,” he says and suspects that many are currently replenishing their inventories in order to be prepared for the expected order boom after the crisis. BASF processes orders in accordance with current safety regulations. “Most of our employees work from home, our external suppliers deliver the products contactlessly, everything works smoothly,” says Grimmeisen. Short-time work is not yet an issue at the BASF branch in Salzburg, but from today's perspective no one can make a prediction about the next few weeks.
