Banner wins major order

Banner Batteries has received a major order in North America. The total volume is around 60 million euros. A total of around 1.5 million batteries will be delivered to the United States and Canada over the next few years. This means that Banner has succeeded in expanding its sales area, which previously had a strong focus on Europe. "This major order makes a significant contribution to securing jobs in Austria. The new sales region of North America leads to even better risk diversification," says Andreas Bawart, Commercial Director of Banner.

Banner Batteries is now orienting its starter batteries long-term beyond the Atlantic for the first time. The company is pleased about the 60 million order for a customer in the automotive industry in the USA. “From 2021, we will be delivering six-figure lead-acid batteries to the USA every year,” says Franz Märzinger, Head of Sales and Marketing at Banner. "In North America, the market share of European vehicles is around 15 percent. The market potential is therefore very large," says Märzinger.

With this order, Austria's only manufacturer of starter batteries can positively counteract the difficult market environment in Europe due to Corona. “Due to their high quality, our products are in great demand in North America and also in Asia,” says Märzinger.
