The battery manufacturer Banner carried out a voluntary COVID-19 test after the company vacation - free of charge for all employees. "Due to current developments, especially with regard to the increasing number of infections in Upper Austria, we see an increased risk of the virus being introduced into the company. To protect all of us and to ensure the health of our employees, customers and partners, we have decided to carry out large-scale corona tests for the entire workforce at the Leonding location," says Andreas Bawart, commercial managing director of Banner.
Around 500 SARS-CoV-2 PCR tests were carried out using throat swabs via a medical laboratory in Linz. The test result was within 24 hours
smear collection. The company is pleased that all tests carried out so far have been negative. The company has 50,000 euros for this preventative measure
invested.
