Axalta completes acquisition of U-POL

Axalta Coating Systems, a global leader in liquid and powder coatings, today announced that it has successfully completed its previously announced acquisition of U-POL Holdings Limited. The acquisition of U-POL, a leading manufacturer of paints, protective coatings and automotive refinish accessories, strengthens Axalta's global leadership position in the refinish market and supports the company's broad growth strategy.

U-POL's portfolio of high-quality products and accessories for automotive paint repair includes fillers, varnishes, aerosols, adhesives and paint-related products as well as protective coatings for the automotive aftermarket. The addition of these products will expand Axalta's addressable market into the important and growing mainstream and economy refinishing segment. Axalta will accelerate product growth of U-POL's product portfolio through expanded market access through existing distribution channels. At the same time, U-POL's distribution channels will be used to expand the reach of Axalta's refinish portfolio to new customers.
