AVL receives SAE gearbox award

AVL Managing Director Robert Fischer received the SAE Transmission Award at the SAE World Congress in Detroit, Michigan. This award recognizes engineers who have had an exceptional impact on the automotive and transmission world. The AVL managing director is only the seventh person in the world to receive this transmission award. More than 300 transmission engineers at AVL worldwide develop transmissions for passenger cars, heavy-duty vehicles and off-road vehicles. The company has already brought more than 120 vehicle models with AVL transmission calibrations to series production.
