AVL DiTest with record sales in 2019
The past year was extremely profitable for AVL DiTest. Two business areas helped the company achieve a record.

AVL DiTest with record sales in 2019
AVL DiTest draws an extremely positive balance for 2019 - even though record sales with an increase of 28 percent were already recorded in 2018. We managed to not only maintain this level, but even slightly exceed it with 57.4 million euros in 2019. No exception in the company's history.
Since it was founded in 1999, the specialist for automotive testing and measurement technology has grown more than eightfold. Gerald Lackner, Managing Director of AVL DiTest, already predicted this excellent result for 2019 and was right. "The strategic view of the future is firmly anchored in our company. We have always seen technological change as an opportunity and not as a threat." This is supported by an outstanding research and development rate of almost 20 percent, as well as a balanced product portfolio with consciously set priorities.
With a doubling of sales inE-mobility areaIn 2019 compared to the previous year, AVL DiTest consolidated its pioneering role. “We recognized this opportunity early on,” says Lackner. “Our experts developed the first high-voltage measuring device for electric vehicles over ten years ago.” A knowledge advantage that now benefits the company and provides a decisive advantage, especially in the rapidly developing e-mobility sector.
Besides, staysExhaust gas measurement technologycontinues to be an important business area. “Combustion engines, along with electric vehicles, will continue to accompany us in the foreseeable future,” Lackner is certain. “Therefore, in addition to e-mobility, we are consciously placing a research focus on checking exhaust emissions.” The experts at AVL DiTest actively help shape emissions testing legislation and make a significant contribution with their precise testing procedures. Two of our own accredited calibration laboratories also ensure that exhaust gas measuring devices leave production with a calibration certificate upon delivery.
