AVL Ditest on the road to success

After sales of 51 million euros in 2016, the Graz testing technology specialist's total sales fell to 44.4 million euros in 2017. “Short-term sales dips are common in our industry,” explains Gerald Lackner. The CEO of AVL Ditest can still look back on a successful year: “In the area of electromobility, we were even able to more than double our sales compared to 2016.” In 2018, Lackner expects a substantial increase in sales for his company to well over 50 million euros.
The reason for this is both the growing business areas of electromobility, vehicle diagnostics and air conditioning service, in which an increase in sales is expected, as well as significant orders from major vehicle manufacturers from previous years, which will now lead to sales. Around 17% of sales will again flow into research and development this year. Lackner sees potential, among other things, in the area of high-voltage measurement technology specifically for electric vehicles.
