The background to the sale is the planned reorganization of Mercedes-Benz Austria's sales networks. The seven locations are companies in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland that continue the trading and service business with the same product portfolio - Mercedes Benz, Smart and Citroen. AVAG will take over the 280 employees; the function and orientation of the affected companies will not change.
“We take over healthy car dealerships and expect a sales volume of 1,200 new and about the same number of used cars,” says AVAG board spokesman Albert C. Still. The seven companies are divided into four areas. Andreas Zorn is responsible for the AV Hall in Vienna-Strebersdorf with managing director Robert Bartonek and the AV Truck with headquarters in Unterradlberg.
The AV Niederösterreich in St. Pölten with the branches in Zwettl and Krems is headed by managing director Andreas Artner and the AV Ott in Eisenstadt with the branch in Oberpullendorf is managed by Ernst Ott. AVAG Holding SE is involved in 61 car dealerships with 180 locations in Germany, Austria, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia and markets around 122,000 vehicles per year with its 5,000 employees.
