From March, the Automotive Academy, in collaboration with Motorsport Werginz, will be offering a very special course that primarily deals with the handling of historic vehicles and, in principle, with historic drives.
Automotive Academy: Course for historic vehicles
This is aimed at automotive technicians, mechatronics engineers and mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and car dealers in general who want to acquire specialist knowledge about the handling/repair/distribution/sale of classic cars as well as the functionality and, if necessary, production of parts of historic vehicles. The first training block offered lasts 3 weeks, in which theory and practice will be taught by true Viennese legends of motorsport. So not only will there be a lot to learn, but it will also be a real experience. The economic factor of oldtimers (30 years and older) and youngtimers (15-29 years old) generates a volume of several million euros in Austria alone. The booming market is difficult to serve because many of the professionals in this area are already of retirement age or will no longer be available in a few years. Modern training companies have so far ignored this, so that knowledgeable people are now increasingly sought after.
The Automotive Academy will start a whole series of courses from March, with the first course being an intensive introduction and the subsequent courses being divided into specialist areas: engine, carburettor, injection, ignition systems, power transmission, chassis, structure, electrics.
