On to victory
Now the time has come soon: the “WorldSkills” skilled workers’ championship will take place in Abu Dhabi from October 14th to 19th.

On to victory

On the occasion of the upcoming event, the Austrian team was given a ceremonial farewell. Automotive technician Klaus Lehmerhofer (BMW Auer), mechatronics engineer Julian Aigner (19) and bodywork mechanic Simon Winder (21) will do their best to win a medal. Tough competition is expected, with a total of over 1,200 participants from 77 nations competing against each other at the 44th World Professional Championships. “Our starters were very hard-working and prepared conscientiously,” emphasizes WKÖ Vice President Martha Schultz. We can only hope for a positive medal tally; at the last World Cup in Sao Paulo, Austria was able to win eight medals. At the same time, the venue is a premiere, as the WorldSkills is taking place in the Middle East for the first time. Around 150,000 spectators are expected. With this in mind, the KFZ Wirtschaft wishes all participants much success and an equally instructive time!
