With effect from July 1, 2020, Günther Apfalter will take on the position of President Magna Asia in addition to his existing role as President Magna Europe. Apfalter has been working in various corporate and group management positions for 18 years. In 2007, Günther Apfalter was appointed President Magna Steyr and in 2010 President Magna Europe.
Frank Klein, currently responsible for Engineering & Manufacturing at Magna Steyr, will take over the management of Magna Steyr as President from July 1st. He is responsible for 13,000 employees at a total of 13 production sites and 18 development centers worldwide. Before joining Magna on April 1, 2019, he held various positions at Daimler AG, including as Head of Operations at Mercedes-Benz Vans and as Project Manager for the development of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét, Hungary.
