The VFT supports the actions of six parent associations to help the automotive parts aftermarket recover.
12 measures for the automotive aftermarket
The automotive aftermarket has been severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis. This hinders the further development of companies and puts jobs at risk. In order to enable a rapid recovery of the automotive aftermarket and to support the European Union institutions in identifying appropriate measures, 12 detailed recommendations have been drawn up:
- Stärkung der Liquidität von KMUs
- Maßnahmen für KMUs in Not
- Spezifische Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten für verantwortungsbewusste Investitionen/qualifizierte Arbeitsplätze
- EU weite Bewegungsfreiheit der Arbeitnehmer sicherstellen
- Freier Warenverkehr
- Sichere Arbeitsplätze für Arbeitnehmer in Europa
- Anreize für Fahrzeughalter ihre Fahrzeuge einem „Öko-Check“ zu unterziehen
- Beitrag zur Gewährleistung einer saubereren Umwelt
- Rasche Verabschiedung der EU-Gesetzgebung über den Zugang zu bordeigenen Daten und Ressourcen
- Förderung der zirkulären Wirtschaft und Entwicklung hin zu einem nachhaltigeren und zirkulären Automobildienstleistungssektor
- Beibehaltung und Modernisierung der Kfz-Gruppenfreistellungsverordnung
- Organisation eines europäischen Gipfels der automobilen Wertschöpfungskette
“As a member of FIGIEFA, the VFT supports the 12 measures required to preserve and secure the future of the independent automotive parts trade,” says Walter Birner, VFT chairman.
For both the economic recovery plan and the post-pandemic world, the proposed measures could help make an important contribution to the overall European economy if SMEs were placed at the heart of the program.
